Last Card

Get rid of all your cards before the stapler does. You each get 7; one card is turned up to start the pile.

• Play a card that matches the top card’s suit or rank.
• 8s are wild: play one on anything and name the suit to follow.
• Can’t play, or don’t want to? Draw one card. If it fits you may play it; otherwise your turn ends.
• When the stock runs out, the pile (all but its top card) is shuffled back in.
• First out scores what’s left in the other hand: 8s 50, kings, queens and jacks 10, aces 1, the rest face value. If nothing can be drawn and nobody can play, the round is blocked and the smaller hand wins it.
• First to 100 wins the match. The lead alternates each round. No undo: the stapler doesn’t allow it.

Touch and mouse: tap a card to play it, or drag it to the pile. Tap the stock to draw. Playable cards sit a little higher (turn that off with Show playable).

Keys: ← → move across your hand, Enter plays, D draws (or keeps the card you drew and ends your turn), 1–4 name a suit, Esc cancels, H hint, N new match, M sound.
