Bust
Get close to 21. Not that close.
How to play
Beat the dealer's total without going over 21. Number cards count their number, faces count 10, aces count 1 or 11. An ace and a ten-card in your first two is a blackjack. The bets are buttons from the Slopwright's workshop jar. The jar starts with 100. If it runs dry, reset it. Nothing here is worth anything.
- Bet: tap the chips (1, 5, 25) to build a bet, then Deal. Same bet repeats the last one.
- Hit takes a card. Stand keeps what you have. Double doubles the bet on your first two cards, for exactly one more card. Split turns a pair into two hands, each with its own bet.
- Touch and mouse: tap your hand or the shoe to hit, tap the dealer to stand, tap the bet circle to deal. Drag a card from the shoe onto your hand to hit; drag one card of a pair off the hand to split.
- Keys: H hit, S stand, D double, P split, 1 2 3 add 1 / 5 / 25, C clear, R same bet, Enter or N deal, B hint, arrows move between the hands, dealer and shoe, M sound. There's no undo. The cards saw.
- Hint shows what basic strategy says for your hand, and quietly notes when you go another way.
House rules. Six decks in a shuffled shoe (the seed is shown above the table). The cut card sits three quarters in; when it comes out, a fresh shoe is shuffled before the next hand. The dealer stands on all 17s, soft ones too, and checks for blackjack under an ace or a ten. Blackjack pays 3 to 2 (half buttons happen). Double on any first two cards, also after a split. Split any pair up to four hands. Split aces get one card each and can't be hit or split again. A 21 after a split is just 21. No surrender and no insurance, to keep it simple.
